On October 19th, 2024, the E&BC Classic Worlds Bowling Tournament was held at Bowlero Union Hills in Phoenix. The scoring pace on the Beryl oil pattern was medium-lower than average at 40 feet and medium-heavy volume. We had 16 bowlers who joined us today. We would like to congratulate Devon Saunders capturing his first E&BC title. He bowled impressively with a score of 1184 scratch score and 1388 with handicap granting him the 1st spot by only 5 pins over the 2nd spot. We cashed 3 bowlers today: Devon Saunders, 1st, George Pinegar in 2nd shooting 1383 with handicap, and George Lima in 3rd with a 1278 with handicap. There was only a difference of 4 pins separating the 3rd spot and the 5th spot. As per the E&BC Tournaments rules, when there are less than 20 bowlers there will not be a finals held, instead the qualifying squad will be extended by 1 game to be a 6-game beat the board event. Bowlero Union Hills provided a great venue for this tournament event. The maintenance of the lanes is getting much better. The manager informed me that they have been adding even more money to attain quality parts, and we witnessed no issues other than dead wood in the gutters every now and again. Thank you. I am sure the spectators enjoyed the thrill of the competition today because the cashers were back and forth throughout the event. We have now accumulated $900.00 that will be added to the year-end event to be held December 7th, 2024. Reminder, to be eligible for the year-end event you must have bowled at least two events throughout the year. Lineage $383.00. Prize Fund Rollover for end of year event $60.00. Prize Fund Paid out $375.00. Prize Fund Incentive (PFI/Progressive) Paid out $100.00. Side Action Paid out $168.00.
