E&BC Classic Worlds Tournament 9/21/2024

On September 21st, 2024, the E&BC Classic Worlds Bowling Tournament was held at Bowlero Union Hills in Phoenix. The scoring pace on the Chalcedony oil pattern was medium-lower average at 42 feet and medium volume. We had 16 bowlers who joined us today. We would like to congratulate Martin Purnell capturing his first E&BC title. He bowled impressively with a score of 1280 scratch score and 1442 with handicap granting him the 1st spot by 85 pins over the 2nd spot. We cashed 3 bowlers today: Martin Purnell, 1st, Taylor Frederick 2nd shooting 1357 with handicap, and Mike Penne in 3rd with a 1348 with handicap. As per the E&BC Tournaments rules, when there are less than 20 bowlers there will not be a finals held, instead the qualifying squad will be extended by 1 game to be a 6-game beat the board event.  Bowlero Union Hills provided a great venue for this tournament event. The maintenance of the lanes is getting much better. The manager informed me that they have been adding money to attain quality parts, and we witnessed no issues other than dead wood in the gutters every now and again. Thank you. I am sure the spectators enjoyed the thrill of the competition today because the cashers were back and forth throughout the event and the top five bowlers only had a difference to cash by a mere 27 pins. We have now accumulated $601.00 that will be forwarded to the year-end event to be held December 7th, 2024. With this pace, we will be looking at around $1,100.00 potential added prize money for the year-end event. Reminder, to be eligible for the year-end event you must have bowled at least two events throughout the year. Total Prize fund including side action $700.00. Lineage $383.00. Prize Fund Rollover for end of year event $60.00. Prize Fund Paid out $375.00. Prize Fund Incentive (PFI/Progressive) Paid out $140.00. Side Action Paid out $164.00.
