On December 7th, 2024, the E&BC Classic Worlds Bowling Tournament held its year-end finals at Bowlero Union Hills in Phoenix. The scoring pace on the Goblin Shark oil pattern had a medium-average scoring pace with pattern being 37 feet and medium-heavy volume. We had 25 bowlers who joined us today. We would like to congratulate Ron Schloss capturing his second E&BC title. He bowled impressively with a score of 1450 with handicap, bowling about 40+ pins above his average consistently through the qualifying squad granting him the 1st spot by 167 pins over the 2nd spot. We cashed 5 bowlers today: Ron Schloss, 1st, Dave Nelson in 2nd shooting 2009 overall with handicap, Richard Perez in 3rd with 1965 overall with handicap, Edward Polansky in 4th with 1925 overall, and Carlos Jimenez 1903 overall. There was only a difference of 4 pins separating the final qualifying spot. The top 12 taken into the finals round were: Ron Schloss, Edward Polansky, Dave Nelson, Michael Penne, Marc Bakunowski, Michael LePage (Who won last year’s end of year event), Christopher Gray, Richard Perez, Carlos Jimenez, Matt Starcevich, Kevin Dollar, and Holly Carroll in seeded order. The end of year finals format consisted of 5 random head-to-head match play games with allotting 30 bonus pins for a head-to-head win followed by a finals squad featuring head-to-head position round match play with bonus pins. Bowlero Union Hills provided a great venue for this tournament event. The maintenance of the lanes is continuously getting better with each event we hold here. So, Bowlero Union Hills, thank you.
