E&BC Classic Worlds Tournament 2/18/2023
Today's Classic Worlds event was a success with 20 overall entrants and 72 overall games bowled. We gave out about $1,000 in total prize money including all side action. Congratulations goes to Alex Benton for taking the win today coming in 1st for the 2nd straight tournament. This tournament was to be bowled on the E&BC Tournament’s Hammer Head oil pattern, but due to a miscommunication the event was bowled on the Sapphire oil pattern. Alex Benton averaged 242 through 6 games, shooting games of 237, 198, 278, 246, 247, and 247 for a scratch series of 1453 in the 6 games. Our cashers for today were: 1st place Alex Benton, 2nd place Romeo Fermil, 3rd place Dave Nelson, and 4th place Brian Bledsoe. We held a top 4 bowler’s eliminator to determine our winner, and just like he had bowled in qualifying, Alex Benton went on to sweep the finals. Congratulations to Bruce Franks Jr for winning the 1:7 Win-A-Spot for a free entry with Prize Fund Incentive ($85.00 value) by bowling a 749 with handicap.
