E&BC Classic Worlds Tournament 2/15/2025

It was a beautiful Phoenix day outside for today's event. I believe the temperature was around 65-68 degrees with only a few clouds in the sky. Today we saw 23 bowlers for this event. Today bowlers bowled on the E&BC Tournaments Jacinth oil pattern. This pattern dictated the bowler to find the friction as quickly as possible, just like last month, and not to play too far outside where there was no hook. The transition, once again, opened up the lanes quite a bit. The fresh condition didn't cause the down lane to be more tight, but played fairly decent. Scores today were much higher than that of the January event. After the squad was completed we took the top 8 bowlers for a three game match play with bonus pins. The match play was purely random. Our leader after the qualifying round was Shane Gomez with 1039 with handicap, followed by Lordan Ferguson who bowled Left-Handed with 1011, Pat Lombardo 939, Rick Mixey 937, Melody Rane 926, Dave Nelson 924, Robert Adair 917, and lastly, Robert Justice 912. There was only 17 pins difference between the 3rd seed and the 8th seed. The match play showed who had the moxie for todays event. The final three came down to Lordan Ferguson with 1839 with handicap, Shane Gomez 1820, and Robert Adair who had to win al three of his matches to make it into the 3rd spot with 1705. The final 1 game roll-off (eliminator) went to Robert Adair who shot a very impressive 269 with handicap. Our second place finalist was Lordan Ferguson, and 3rd place went to Shane Gomez. It was nice of the crew at Bowlero Union Hills work as hard as they did to make sure the event went on without hardly any downtime. We would to thank you to all who came out in support of this event. To be eligible to bowl the year-end event you will need to bowl at least 2 events prior. Our next event will be March 29th, 2025. You can contact us at ebc_tournaments@yahoo.com for any additional information. We currently have holding $85+ added prize money for the year-end event with more being added each tournament. Each event we anticipate these tournaments to grow this year.
